The Summer term of the first calendar year is spent at the industrial sites of the David H. Koch School of Chemical Engineering Practice. Among the distinguishing features of this unique industry-based educational experience is the year-round, on-site presence of MIT faculty who serve as Station Directors. Details of the team-based, project-oriented educational experience obtained by Practice School students can be found in a variety of published reports, including an article in Chemical Engineering Education (Winter, 1994, pages 38-42).
