12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Undergraduate-hosted roundtable lunch with themes selected by student leaders
1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Break for 1:1 chats or booth setup
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Industry booths with product demos or pitches highlighting a scientific challenge the company is tackling

Who is this event for?
We are looking for industry contacts to join us who have engineering training and who can ultimately satisfy student curiosity about how their talents could be applied in the field.

How is this different from a career fair?
This event is intended to encourage deeper networking. Companies do not need to have open positions to attend. We want you to share your career journey and the technical and leadership skills you employ.

This “reverse” fair format provides opportunities for students to lead the conversation. They will kick off the expo with posters on the problems they are tackling in their research and facilitate roundtable discussions to probe questions they care about most. After learning about our student community, industry guests conclude our event by sharing a technical challenge their role entails. Our goal is for students to leave with a broader sense of the potential of their engineering education in industry.

What is the registration fee?
Fees are waived for this inaugural event thanks in part to funding from the School of Engineering.

What problem(s) could a new employee or intern tackle at your company? What is your elevator pitch on why this problem matters?

Can I advertise openings and actively recruit?
Yes, but that is not the only focus of our industry tables. You should be prepared to talk to a broad community of students including first-year undergraduates. We can provide resources for interviews as needed outside the main forum.
