Lecturer Joshua Abraham has been honored with the MIT the Undergraduate Advising Center’s 2026 Outstanding Rookie Advisor Award. This award recognizes “a novice who advised like a pro” for first-year undergraduates. The Outstanding Rookie is noted for participation in advisor development meetings and showing “wisdom and finesse in overcoming hurdles.”
“Since joining the department last year, we’ve certainly seen Josh jump into our department’s teaching, mentoring, and recruitment activities like a pro!” states Kristala Prather, Arthur Dehon Little Professor and Head of the Chemical Engineering Department. “We are grateful for his enthusiasm, his insight and his thoughtfulness as he helps our newest community members navigate MIT.” Josh was presented with this honor May 5, 2026.
